#throwbackthursday#winterflowers

Oudon talven -3kk:n marraskuu, 2 viikon talvi, taas marraskuu, sitten huhti-toukokuun kautta takaisin marraskuuhun. Mitähän vielä on edessä? Jotta blogin sisältö vastaisi todellisuutta, heitetäänpä tähän väliin sen muistorikkaan 2 viikon talven ajalta muutama oikein pakkasmainen kuva.

This winter has been really weird. The weather was November-like for 3 months, then we had a really freezy 2 weeks, then again November style weather, then through short period of April-May kind of days again back to November. So I guess I need to make by blog to correspond this crazy reality. Here's few pics back from February, when we had this short period of "real" winter.

Meren jäällä / Frozen sea

Jääkukkia, niin kuin lumpeita mutta talvella =) / ice flowers all over the sea

...kukat vielä lähempää / even closer

Kukkiihan ne talvellakin / They do bloom in winter too

Tampere jäätyneen ikkunan takaa

Ensikerralla jotain uutta kotoisampaa

Next time something new but already homey

Kerran vielä huhtikuu

Ennen kuin huhtikuu vaihtuu toukokuuksi pitää julkaista nämä muutamat huhtikuun otokset. On harmautta mutta onpa jo jotain väriloistoakin.

Once more April. Before you leave us, I have to release some pics of you. Grey, but you can see some blinks of colors already too.

Vielä ei ole jäät täysin lähteneet.... still frozen

Kevään merkkejä.... signs of spring

Vanhan myllyn jäänteitä..... I think there used to be a mill

I had inspiring walk today in Helsinki. The spring is finally here, little by little....

Where the boats should be

"Sateella sadepisaroiden väliin jää pieni kuiva alue" - ja muita elämänviisauksia

Crazy finns walking on partly iced sea

Näytän sulle rannan

...haikeutta...

Mistä meri alkaa, where the sea begins

Which way to choose?

Love the contrast =)

Melting little by little....

Puut on keväällä kuin pitsiä taivasta vasten

Lisää kevättä odotellaan! Mukavaa viikkoa!

Beach where I have been quite a many times

Musta toi valo vaan kulkee niin makeesti veden ja jään pinnalla....

Love the way the sun light travels on river and ice

"Vesille venosen mieli" sanois mun Mummu

Impossible to say in english, anyway, my Granny was always super excited of small rowboats in the spring time

Riippusilta (muuten Suomen pisin) ja söpö joutsenpariskunta

Pretty brigde with a swan couple

Voimalaitos

Old power station

Jää on tosi monimuotoista. Tossahan on siis jäätynyt joki (siis ei todellakaan pelto!), mutta jäässä on kumpareita vaikka kuinka paljon, koska heti voimalaitoksen alapuolella on suuria kiviä, ne sit kai rikkoo tota jään rakennetta. Tai en tiedä?

This is actually a river that is iced. But it looks funny because the ice is not flat but bumpy, that's because there are lots of rocks, I think...? So it's not a field, it IS river. I would not walk on it, but there were many ice fishing. Crazy finns!

 Jää on ihan taidetta

Ice is art

...ja kyllä, kyllä se riittää <3

Keväistä viikonloppua kaikille!
***
Sunny weekend to all, hopefully you can sense the spring!

ps. olin tänään näkevinäni pienen pienet krookuksen alut etupihalla!!! Olinkohan äärioptimistisella tuulella? Selvitän asiaa mikroskooppitasolla viikonlopun aikana.

ps. I think I saw my first ever small tiny crocus in our front yard today. I'm not sure if I was too optimistic, but will continue my research this weekend.
