Nyt sekin on sitten selätetty, vuoden lyhin päivä oli viikko sitten. Ankeutta maksimoi se, että täällä ei ole yhtään lunta ja pääosin olemme saaneet nauttia pilvisistä, kosteista, tuulisista, jopa myrskyisistä ja ennen kaikkea harmaista päivistä. Mutta, luin jostain, että huono ilma on valokuvaajalle paras ilma. En vielä oo niin kehittynyt niin pitkälle että tajuaisin miks, mutta yritin nyt ainakin.

The shortest day of the year was a week ago. It means we have only some 5+ hours "bright" time, sun rises about 9.30a.m. and sets about 3p.m. But it's highly possible one cannot see the sun for weeks, because of the heavy clouds. What makes this even more depressing, is that we have absolutely no snow here at all. And that's unusual. The weather here is cloudy, gray, windy -even stormy. Anyway, I read somewhere that the worse the weather the better the pictures. Obviously I have not understood that yet, but at least I tried. So here some pictures from last week, between 2 and 3p.m.

Mutta nyt se on takana. Ääripositiivinen ystäväni sanoi juuri, että nyt ollaan OIKEESTI niin lähellä kesää. Hän sai minutkin vakuuttuneeksi siitä omalla täysin vakuuttuneella innokkuudellaan. Toivotaan jatkossa valoisampia ja lumisempia kuvia. Jotain kesämuistojakin on vielä, huonojen säiden varalta ;)

Anyway, the worst time is now behind us. One of my friend just told me in a really convinced tone, that the summer is REALLY close to us now. I actually believe her, she was so sincere, zealous and convincing. I hope the next photos will include snow and sun. Anyway, in case the weather continues like this, I still have some nice pictures from last summer in my back pocket.
